Jackie and Grandma make a pact together before Grandma crosses to the “other side.” In this after-death communication, Jackie receives a sign from her Grandma, proving that she really is listening when Jackie needs her the most.
Jackie shares the following-
“The majority of my life, I have had dreams that come true, seen things that others have not, and talked with deadlocked ones through dreams. A few years ago my Grandmother was dying of COPD. I visited with her very often in the final days. A couple of nights before she passed away, we were talking about this. She said she knew this about me. I confided in her, that, if after she passes and I am to speak out loud to her, that means I will be looking for a sign of her still being here, and… our agreement was that she will do whatever is in her power to respond in some way.”
“She did pass within that week. Nearly a year later, as we were approaching our first Christmas without Grandma. I was both sad and stressed that the holidays would soon be here, and knowing there would be no more Christmases with Grandma. I missed her so much. I was home alone and spoke out loud to my Grandmother. “You see, Grandma,…if you are here, this is it. I need a sign that you are still here and know what’s going on now. I will be looking for even the slightest of signs that you are able to show me that I’ve been heard.”
“The next day, I came home from work and went into the basement to do wash. At the bottom of the stairs I saw a card face-down on the floor. I picked it up and it was a Christmas card! I always hang my Christmas cards up, so I opened it to see who it was from, and inside it said, “Love, Grandma.” I saved last year’s Christmas card from her because I knew it would be her last Christmas, as she’d fallen the year before, a couple weeks before Christmas. I immediately took the card upstairs to compare with the one I had saved. It was the same handwriting! I knew it was the sign of a promise made by Grandma on her death bed. Indeed, she heard me, and I received her card loud and clear!”
Commentary- Jackie not only received a sign from her Grandma. She not only received a mere card. What Jackie received was the delivery of Grandma’s Christmas card, her heavenly calling card, letting Jackie know with certainty, that Grandma was there for her, listening and honoring the agreement that was made between them!
Although Jackie is very intuitive, and it helps to be so, it is not always necessary for someone to be intuitive to receive a sign. Sometimes, signs are sent that practically hit us over the head. In that case, it’s just a matter of noticing and acknowledging it when it happens. Here is something important to remember… If it’s something magical, mystical, synchronistic, symbolic, out of the ordinary, unexplainable, miraculous, spiritual, surreal and/or coincidental, and having to do with a lost loved one… consider it’s a sign! This is because, all of these descriptions tend to be used when trying to explain something that has taken place in a spiritual context.
Jackie was curious and decided to find the meaning and symbolism of “The Wreath” on the Christmas card her Grandma sent her. According to www.holidayinsights.com, The wreath has significant meaning for the season. It’s circular shape represents eternity, for it has no beginning and no end. From a Christian religious perspective, it represents the unending circle of life. The evergreen, frequently used in making wreaths, symbolizes growth and everlasting life.”
