When Dreams Become Visitations

After losing his wife of 34 years, Bill had a dream that turned into a very special visitation dream that gave him much comfort and healing.

Bill writes:
“In my dream, I was in the living room. I walked into my son’s bedroom and there he was as an infant (he was actually 32 years old at the present time). He was laying in a crib where his regular bed stands now. He started to cry.

I turned and walked out of his room towards our bedroom, calling to my wife that Kevin was crying. As I entered our bedroom, calling to my wife, she gets up from our bed and walks to the foot of the bed where we met face to face.

My wife had a glow about her head and she was a perfect, but younger version of herself. She was 53 years old when she passed. She didn’t say anything, but just smiled at me. She put her arms around my neck, looked deeply into my eyes, and gave me a very long passionate kiss. When I opened my eyes, she was gone.

When I woke up, it took me a second to realize this was a dream. It all seemed so vivid and real. I actually woke up feeling good, okay and normal that day, not grieving like most mornings.

Ordinary Dreams

We have dreams that are designed to help us function in a healthy manner. Some dreams are about sorting through problems, others to formulate plans and ideas. There are those dream in which we retreat within the memories of another day, perhaps this is about completing what happened at the time. Other times we have dreams that really don’t make any sense that seem like a brain on “random selection” in reaction to dealing with a chaotic life. There are even dreams that alert us to some possible impending danger to pay attention to. These practical dreams are all so important to helping us in our daily lives.

And Then There Are The Healing Dreams

There are a few kinds of healing dreams that come to mind.

  • Informative Dreams that come with answers or instructions to questions we have had about how to deal with something that we have had rolling around in our thinking. When this comes, it occurs as a relief to us as finally we find ourselves with an answer of something we may have been struggling with. Another special thing about informative dreams is the feeling that someone is listening, and cares enough to give us the answers. Even if it is your wisest self chiming in the stop the suffering, it’s nice to know that your wisest self is with you too, but I like to think this answer comes straight from the wisdom of Heaven. Feeling like you are not alone to deal with your life is quite comforting as well as energizing and healing.

  • Lucid dreams occur when one becomes aware they are dreaming in the middle of a dream. It can be very interesting to find yourself in this situation as it is not the usual dream format. Some people can even direct the dream in a certain direction or go back into regular dreaming to see how the dream ends. When you become really conscious, it is possible to look around within the dream. Many times there are loved ones in the periphery that might have been missed otherwise. The effect of this kind of dream adds a special element to our everyday life as amazing that this is possible. There can be a realization that there is more to know and understand about our world than meets the eye. These dreams are fluid and allow the experiencer to tap into the amazing mind consciousness that is more than just a brain’s thoughts. You see, we are privy to see that there are deeper spiritual connections at work, rather than to focus on the physical world.

  • Visitation dreams are also fluid in nature. All of these dreams can be very vivid and have the quality of seeming “realer” than life. In fact, the most remarkable thing is that these fluid dreams can and often do occur as a regular dream coming alive with life. In other words, taken into another dimension. It is possible that a lucid dream can morph into a dream visitation and visa versa, since both involve expanded consciousness. It’s a bonus  if you get more than one of these happening at the same time. All of this is happening while the experiencer is sleeping yet not sleeping at the same time. You recognize this if it’s happened to you. Sometimes a dream visitation may not be fully realized as fluid until after one wakes up from a dream. When that happens, the experiencer can be confused about whether the experience was real or just a very realistic dream. Either way, that is what fluid and vivid looks like. It’s very comforting and healing because at this point we know we are dealing with something spiritual which makes us feel even closer to Heaven.
“Twilight Bridge”

Most of these 3 dreams happen right before waking up. I call it the “Twilight  Bridge” experience as it is easier to bring the amazing ethereal information/experience/message back to the physical plane, with the increased probability of remembering the content.

The content can be an important impression which may occur as spiritual, physical, mental or emotional. Either way, it is a message of great significance. A message that you need to know for whatever reason. The real-ness of the experience, coupled with the message tends to be a life-changer when it happens and can be a catalyst for fast comfort and healing.

Bill’s Message

During that very special visitation dream Bill experienced, his wife, the woman he loved and missed so much was with him, just mere moments before he awakened. She was actually there with him on the Twilight Bridge where he could remember to bring back a very important experience and impression. In a very real and authentic way she was expressing her love for him and the life they had shared together from the beginning. With her son in the mix as a baby at the time, she recognized the years spent together as the calendar of their time spent together on this Earth had come to an end.

Her message could not be any more plain. “I hear. I know.I remember. I love. I care. I’m here.”

What creates the most healing is to realize that although a physical death has occurred, the relationship is not over.  Bill was fortunate to experience the reality that his love story still continues on.
