If you want to know from which lens you see your world, look at your beliefs about it.

If you want to know from which lens you see your family, look at what you already believe about them.

If you want to know from which lens you see your partner, look at what you already believe about him/her.

If you want to know from which lens you see your child, look at what you already believe about him/her.

If you want to know from which lens you see your friend, look at what you already believe about him/her.

If you want to know from which lens you see your circumstances, look at what you already believe about them.

If you want to know from which lens you see your self, look at what you already believe about you.

If things look dark and gloomy, and not so bright as you’d like, perhaps you can change the lens from which you see your world by changing your point of view. Beliefs are nothing more than long-held, engrained viewpoints, that are sometimes held so long and have settled in so deep, that they have actually become the self-made prisons of the mind in which we hold ourselves and others captive.

There are three simple keys, if willingly and consistently applied, that can unlock and release the stuck gates of the mind, and begin to secure a world of freedom for all.

Generosity, in our thinking of another, provides a gift that allows for the person or situation to begin to break loose from the perception of the point-of-view-prison in which they were once held, allowing an opportunity for freedom at last. The most stubborn viewpoints require applying generosity liberally.

Grace compassionately grants the being-ness of all that is; the way that it is and the way that it isn’t, thus allowing people and things to be; the way they are, and the way they’re not.

Gratitude is an attitude that allows the rigid edges of negatively engrained perception to soften, break off and fall away, allowing love, compassion and understanding to seep in, thus, allowing the space required for forgiveness and healing.

Being willing to view your world and all in it through the lens of generosity, grace and gratitude, is the quickest, easiest and most effective way to unlock and open wide the closed stuck gates of the mind.

From which view are you choosing to see? Is it a negative, limited and petty one, or is it a grand view full of love, understanding and kindness?
