My Friend, the Honeyeater

In this after-death communication, Anne comes face to face with a beautiful black bird. But when it looked into her eyes, that’s when she knew it was her recently deceased friend.
Anne writes:
HoneyeaterHi. After reading your after-death experiences, I just had to tell you about my experience only yesterday.”

“My friend died only a few days ago, and yesterday I was sitting, watching TV when a beautiful black bird, which I think is a Black Honeyeater, appeared on the back of my patio chair with a worm in its mouth.”

“I could easily see it, as my patio doors are huge glass ones. The bird dropped the worm onto the chair and just sat there for at least 30 minutes. It did not even move when my little dog ran outside barking at some noise she had heard. I thought it was strange that the noise did not frighten it off. But when I found the bird actually looking me right in the eye, that was slightly unnerving, to say the least.”

“After almost half an hour, it began singing at the top of it’s voice. Then picking up the worm, the bird flew off and I haven’t seen it since.”

“It was such a moving experience, I just can’t get it out of my mind.

Commentary- Well, that was a little out of the ordinary, wasn’t it? That’s what I’m talking about. If our deceased loved ones can’t get our attention for a few seconds, we would never know they were there at all. In this case, the Honeyeater just sat there… even looking Annie right in the eye! How’s that for getting attention? I think Annie’s friend succeeded! And… I like the Honeyeaters extra added bonus of singing at the top of it’s voice, before flying off into the heavens beyond.

  1. If the bird totally ignored its worm prize it’s clear that the honeyeater had a much more important mission in getting her attention.
